2021- The future for Covid Weddings?

With the majority of weddings in 2020 having to be sadly postponed into 2021 and beyond due to the restrictions and effects of coronavirus, let’s look to the future to see how weddings could happen in 2021.

With lockdown and restrictions still in place, many couples are asking for Moss Wedding Films advice on what to do with regards to rearranging or making plans for smaller weddings. Our advice is to not be too hasty in cancelling but instead proactively plan for a different but still perfect wedding, for example speak to your suppliers about alternate dates they might have available and be flexible on the fact that numbers may still be limited throughout the year. We are seeing a lot of our couples that had big weddings booked making plans for smaller more intimate ceremonies and receptions, which can still be as amazing as the original big day you had planned- and as an extra bonus if you have a videographer (such as ourselves!) booked then you are still able to share your day with everyone by sharing the videos and films you receive.

Destination weddings (and videography) are looking like they may be increasingly popular this year and into the 2022 wedding season. Due to couples having a smaller number of guests, many are planning to jet away to warmer climates, such as Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta, France and beyond, with the small group of friends and family to spend a quality week or two together, not just the usual day of the wedding.
